My hero was in the Marine Corp. back in the late 70′s when I was a teenager. He brought home a gift for me that I treasured. It was an LP (a record for those of you who are too young to remember). The record was a soundtrack of what took place during boot camp, and it depicted the life of a recruit very convincingly and unabashedly. I have been searching for that recording endlessly but have be unable to locate it. If anyone can provide information on that album, recording, record, or any format of it, please inform me on how to obtain a copy. The dvd’s I have found are fine but they are not the same as that recording. Please help! Thanks. John In memory of Johnny Coakley.

MY SON IS WITH COMPANY CHARLIE 1004 PLATOON. HE IS CURRENTLY AT PARRIS ISLAND. TODAY HE HAS TO QUALIFY AT THE FIRING RANGE. CANNOT WAIT TO GRADUATION ON JANUARY 2011. SO PROUD OF MY SON, HIS PLATOON, AND THANKFUL TO HIS SENIOR DRILL SERGEANT AND DRILL SERGEANTS.
